The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for building, maintaining, and improving our digital presence. This person will be responsible for building our SEO/SEM platform, managing our social media presence, focus on reputation management as well as working with our Marketing Department and Web Development group establish our brand for various products. The specialist must work efficiently with other functional departments including Underwriting, Product, and Information Technology. The specialist should build productive relationships with various external vendors, staff, agents, and producers.


  • Proven track record of increasing traffic, improving brand and site visibility within major search engines for keywords, increasing site authority through trusted and natural link building and surpassing client conversion goals
  • Provide SEO expertise for keyword research, reporting, linking campaigns, conversion goals, on-page optimization, social media, local search, image and video optimization, digital asset optimization, and mobile search for clients of multiple industries
  • Review and analyze internal sites for areas that need to be improved, deleted, or revised to increase performance.
  • Consult with the team to improve the navigation of a site to enhance its search engine ranking.
  • Create custom, weekly and monthly traffic reports and insights for the leadership team.
  • Manage and review Google Analytics and Google Search Console for enhanced SEO performance.
  • Take ownership of position and be proactive in making suggestions for enhanced SEO.
  • Write headlines, body copy, and content to optimize websites or web pages.
  • Keep abreast of white hat and black hat tactics so as not to violate search engine guidelines.
  • Assist web developers and web designers with implementing best practices
  • Monitor local reviews and create solicitation strategies to build positive review volumes
  • Assist with strategic planning of websites and user behavior analysis
  • Shares oversight of social media calendar, all social content scheduling, publishing, moderation and ongoing engagement.
  • Publishes, and contributes diverse and engaging content to priority social media channels while ensuring consistent messaging and monitoring.
  • Collaborates with the marketing team to generate content ideas that align with business goals and marketing campaigns that grow audience and engagement.
  • Analyzes and generate reports on social media performance.
  • Make sure brand, identity and voice are championed via digital communications.
  • Design content that is structured and optimized for efficient search, publication, distribution, and engagement.
  • Champion of e-communications calendar and lead writer for unassigned pieces.
  • Create content strategies to outline publishing cadence for digital content (what, how much, when, where, why, how for e-communications planning).


  • Bachelors Degree with Major in Marketing/Digital Marketing. 
  • We would consider a recent college graduate who with Digital Marketing Intership experience. 
  • 2+ years of experience in online marketing preferred. 
  • Functional knowledge of SEO research tools such as SEMrush, BrightEdge, Google AdWords, Google Search
  • Console, Screaming Frog and Google Trends
  • Search Engine Optimization
  • Search Engine Marketing
  • Social Media Marketing
  • Strong in Google Analytics
  • Very organized and great at managing deadlines
  • Awareness of industry trends and comfortable writing about them
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated project management planning and budgeting experience in a communications or public relations environment essential;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of fundamental communications and public relations principles;
  • Demonstrated expertise in responding to national media inquiries and pitching stories to the media;
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of both traditional and internet means of communications, news distribution, and measurement;
  • Demonstrated application of emerging communications and public relations trends;
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel and Front Page:
  • Insurance experience a plus
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team; self-motivated.
  • A very fast learner; able to apply new skills to day-to-day activities.
  • A passion for online marketing and search in particular.
  • Willingness to help develop internal processes.
