We are seeking a talented and experienced Human Resources Generalist who has a passion for finding the right talent to support our thriving organization! In this role, you will support various business unit leaders within our insurance organization to ensure that they have the right talent in place. You will work on a team with smart, collaborative (and fun) HR professionals who are ready to welcome you to their team!

Responsibilities Include:

  • Recruitment and Hiring
    • Partner with Management Team to determine staffing needs.
    • Develop and execute recruitment strategy to include sourcing of candidates and job postings.
    • Focus on providing the best candidate experience, so that we hire the BEST!
    • Utilizing our Applicant Tracking System, develop and manage job postings.
    • Ensure that we are utilizing Applicant Tracking System to maximum capacity in terms of offerings.
    • Work within our Applicant Tracking System to review resumes and collaborate with Management Team on candidates.
    • College Recruitment-Partner with local universities to post openings and represent our organization at their various job fairs.
    • Occasionally partner with search firms as a resource.
    • Interview candidates and provide recommendations to Management.
    • Administer and review various assessment tools.
    • Present oral and written job offers.
    • Coordinate hiring process to include background checks and New Hire Paperwork.
  • Job Description Management
    • Ensure that job descriptions are being reviewed regularly and kept up to date and organized.
  • New Hire Onboarding
    • Send all New Hires Onboarding documents to be completed within the Paycor electronic Onboarding system.
    • Provide back-up assistance for New Hire Orientation.
  • Employee Relations
    • Be a resource to employees in discussing issues and concerns.
    • Partner with Management to resolve any issues that may come up.
    • Work closely with the HR Director and HR Manager to resolve Employee Relations issues.
  • Special Projects as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant HR experience with strong emphasis on Recruitment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with an Applicant Tracking System. ApplicantPro a plus!
  • Experience in sourcing within LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Broad knowledge of employment law.
  • Strong inter-personal skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and internally driven!
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills along with the ability to multi-task
  • Insurance experience a plus!
  • HRCI or SHRM certification desired.

**This position is a full-time on-site position for our Bedford Park, IL location (about one mile south of Chicago Midway Airport.
